Telford Buddhist Priory

In March, due to the continuing decline in the state of his health, Rev, Alexander decided to step down as Prior of Telford. The group here is deeply grateful for the time he spent sharing his training with us and for the generosity of his teaching and example. His presence here will be greatly missed.
For the past three years we have been able to use the building, Old Meadows, as a Priory due to the generosity of the present owners. During that time many people have benefited from this special space for Buddhist practice, situated in an urban setting. From our savings and a mortgage we have now managed to raise the £130,000 necessary to buy the property. This is a considerable sum for a small group of people and, although the projected cash flow shows sufficient basic income to make this viable, people's circumstances can easily change. You will be able to appreciate that there is a need for additional help during the first two years, until a wider support base is established. Any help you are able to give would be greatly appreciated. Your generosity will make the difference between the success or failure of establishing a more permanent base for Buddhist practice in the Midlands.
